SARAH CUSCADDEN is a Global Safety Leader specialising in strategy, organisation design, safety technologies, safety sentiment and safety leadership and engagement transformations. Most recently Sarah has revolutionised safety technology, engagement programs and safety culture indexs’ for over 1 million frontline workers and operational leaders, across multiple continents.
Sarah has received numerous accolades for her work in Australia and internationally. Highlights include being recognized by the National Safety Council as a 2022 Rising Star of Safety. In 2021, Sarah was an Australian Financial Review Young Executive of the Year Finalist; in 2020 Australian Institute Health and Safety Fellow. 2018 brought recognition by the National Association of Women In Construction – Safety Leadership Award and the Institute of Internal Communication – Game Changer Award.
From the start of her career revolutionizing safety at a construction company, Sarah has kept the safety and wellbeing of others top of mind. Sarah developed “Pro-Safety”—essentially safety in a box, to help smaller construction organizations in Australia implement a robust safety management system.
Outside of work, Sarah has been a guest lecturer at the University of Melbourne, delivering a session on Management Systems for Construction focusing on integrating safety management into the day to day operations on a construction site. Sarah is a mentor to many in the safety profession, and has contributed a chapter to the OHS Body of Knowledge. In 2022 Sarah served as the deputy chair for the AIHS College of Fellows.
